Winter Adventure 8
jrs - Deep in the heart of British Columbia’s
High Country on the fringes of Wells Gray Provincial
Park, lie the picturesque Blue Grouse Country Inn and
Nakiska Ranch. Surrounded by the Shuswap Highlands,
the Cariboo Mountains and park’s pristine wilderness,
the area offers a wonderful selection of activities.
For the first few days, you will be dogsledding through
the snow-covered forests of Wells Gray Provincial Park
mushing your own team of well-trained Canadian Eskimo
dogs. Then you will mount your snowmobiles and set out
on an exhilarating ride across the Grizzly Mountain
Plateau with the peaks of the Foghorn or Granite Mountain
in the background. For the last two days, you will strap
on a pair of snowshoes to explore the beautiful backcountry,
and discover the 18-m-high Dawson Falls and the famous
ice cone of Helmcken Falls. The programme offers something
for everyone but does require participants to be in
good physical fitness. |

Snow Train Adventure 8
jrs - Calgary, Banff, Jasper, et Vancouver. Discover Western
Canada’s winter wonderland on your journey from
the snow-topped Rocky Mountains through the stunning heartland
of British Columbia to the intriguing Coastal Mountains.
Your adventure begins in Alberta’s provincial capital
from where you travel through the beautiful Banff and
Jasper National Parks in the magnificent setting of the
Canadian Rockies. In the resort town of Banff, you will
join a discovery tour of the town’s historic landmarks
including admission to the Cave and Basin and observation
of the park’s wildlife. Your next destination is
Jasper where you can enjoy an array of onsite activities
before you board VIA Rail’s Snow Train and experience
the romance of riding through Western Canada’s snow-covered
landscape. Your final destination is Vancouver, the bustling
seaside city where the Coastal Mountains give you a fabulous
view over the adjoining ocean. The excitement in Vancouver
continues as you go on a sightseeing tour to the Capilano
Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain. You will also enjoy
admission to Storyeum, an underground learning and entertainment
complex located in the city’s historic Gastown area.

will bring Canada’s West Coast history to life. |

Dogsledding
Adventures, Yukon 8
jrs -Whitehorse et Yukon. Challenge yourself on this fun
dogsledding adventure! What could be more exhilarating
than roaming through the Yukon wilderness on a dogsled
and enjoying an enchanting night in a base camp log cabin
or a comfortable wall tent camp? You will explore untouched
wilderness inhabited by herds of elk, caribou, and other
interesting wildlife. Relive history as you discover Gold
Rush relics and feel like a professional musher
as you travel down the Yukon Quest Trail. Most important
is the harmony you will feel with nature and your spirited
team of Huskies. For the first few days, Blue Kennels
will be your base camp from which you lead your dogs out
into the Yukon’s white wonderland. You will then
leave behind the last remnants of civilization and head
out to the Tent Camp at 37 Mile Lake - true northern wilderness!
Dogsledding is a comparable physical activity to cross-country
skiing, so you should be in relatively good physical health. |

Artic
Adventure, Whitehorse 8
jrs - Bundle up on this tour of some of Canada’s
most remote, yet fascinating northern sights. From Whitehorse,
travel the famous Alaska and Klondike Highways to Dawson
City and uncover its rich Goldrush history. Drive further
north along the gravel Dempster Highway, offering an array
of arctic scenery en route to the Polar Circle. Marvel
at the sight of the Tombstone Mountains rising from the
frozen terrain in contrast to the vast plateaus providing
unlimited views. You’ll also have the chance to
visit Tuktoyaktuk, a small Inuit village at the edge of
the Arctic Circle. This programme combines small group
van travel and flightseeing, giving passengers a unique
land and bird’s-eye perspective upon this frozen

of a snowmobile expedition. Expert mechanic-guides will
lead travellers along the trails of Quebec’s famed
Laurentian region. In six days of snowmobiling, participants
will cover 1225 kilometres of groomed tracks
and off-trail terrain. Participants must be in excellent
shape due to the physical demands of this challenging
