A wonderful and unique experience awaits the students groups in Guatemala. The students are oriented towards the conservation and the support of local indigenous cultures by a human and responsible approach. They will meet indigenous populations and live a human and memorable experience to aid at the community, with immersion and cultural integration. A combined circuit where they will discover the secrets of the Mayan people by having amazing and once in a life time experiences. Explore wild conservation sanctuaries ridding is small boats trough beautiful rivers full of vegetation that are considered a miracle of nature where you will have the chance to see alligators, wood peckers, wild ducks and pelicans. You will experience the real life of ordinary people and visit a indigenous school located in the middle of a small jungle and be a witness of the “out side the box” education. You will also visit Kakchiquel and Quekchi tribes that during the conquest of the Spaniards fourth great wars and left antique buildings behind. Arrival to Guatemala
Day 1: You will be welcomed by CADI international and Guatemala Travel & Discovery, transferred to your hotel in Guatemala City. Welcome supper and night at the hotel.
Day
2: Pacaya Volcano - Antigua Guatemala
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Transfer to the Pacaya
volcano where we will climb all the way to the top in about 2 ½ hours and
witness a beautiful landscape. According to availability we will be accompanied
by a local high school and have lunch on the top of the volcano. Transfer to
Antigua Guatemala where you will be received by a local family.
Day
3: Antigua
During the morning, communitarian service
at an orphanage and in the afternoon, soccer match with local boys and girls
and sleeping arrangements with local family.
Day
4: Antigua - Lago Atitlan
During the morning, visit to a coffee farm and in the afternoon we say goodbye
to the local families and travel to Atitlan where we will rest and have supper.
Note: Prepare small gifts for your local family as souvenirs of the intercultural exchange.

5: Lago Atitlan
Breakfast then, we will cruze with
small boat towards Santiago Lac
Atillan where
you will admire the handicraft market, the local pottery and painting and also
a Mayan god known as Maximon -Lunch- Time to swim
in the lake. Hike to the township of Jabalito –Dinner - Night at Pnanajachel.

6: Panajachel – Chichicastenango –
Guatemala City
Breakfast- Transfer to Chichicastenango where you will admire the biggest handicraft
market of all Guatemala, you will be able to purchase hand made clothing
and articles, local pottery, textiles and many other objects that will be the
perfect souvenirs. Excursion to the sacred hill of Pascual
Abaj, where we will witness a mayan ceremony -Lunch- Transfer to Guatemala
City. –Supper - Night in Guatemala City.

7: Guatemala – Quirigua –
Puerto Barrios
Breakfast- Transfer toward the Caribbean Shores –Lunch- Time off at the pool
Visit to the archaeological site of Quiriguá. Transfer to Puerto Barrios, -Supper-
Night at Puerto Barrios.
Day
8: Puerto Barrios - Poptun ![]()
Breakfast- Transfer to the deck of Puerto Barrios for a 20 mile long boat
trip that will take us trough the natural reserve of Chocon Machacas. We will
observe seagulls and pelicans and many other tropical birds, as well as turtles,
alligators and frogs. Free time at the beach
or soccer –lunch- We continue on boat
towards a rural school that is in the middle of a tropical forest where you
will have another intercultural exchange
with a queqchi community. Transfer to Puerto Barrios where we take the road
again to Poptún where we will set camp.

9: Poptún – Flores
Breakfast- We have several activities that you can pick:
• Horse back ridding to the Ixobel grotto
• Swimming at the lake and soccer
• Expedition to the grotto where you will come across a waterfall and discover
the caverns. Please bring your flash light - lunch- Transfer to the Flores island
where we will spend the night –Dinner.

10: Flores Yaxhá ![]()
Breakfast- Boat trip to an animal orphanage
where we will learn about animals
in danger of extinction and how to preserve them. –Lunch- Transfer to Yaxhá,
an archaeological site that we will visit where we will be able to see parrots
and listen to the howling monkeys during
the night. –Supper- Night at camp.
Day 11: Yaxhá – Tikal – Rio Dulce
Dismount camp and travel towards the archaeological site of Tikal
–Breakfast- Visit of the ancient city of Tikal, where you will admire the
sacred Mayan temples and have the opportunity to climb most of the pyramids
to have a panoramic view of the jungle –Lunch- Transfer to Rio Dulce –Dinner-
Day
12: Rio Dulce – Guatemala City
Breakfast- Expedition to Laguna el Paraiso where you will enjoy
a bath in thermal waters that come out of a rock. The place is located in the
middle of a tropical forest and is surrounded by vegetation. You will have the
chance to relax and enjoy the warm water that is known for its medical properties.
–Lunch- and if we still have the time we will visit the
Castillo de San Felipe a fortress built to defend the town against the pirates.
Transfer to Guatemala City.

13 Hotel – Airport
Breakfast- Transfer to the airport for your international flight.
